About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help UK businesses transform the way they manage company spend through Spendesk’s all-in-one platform
  • Act as the trusted partner of UK customers and help Finance teams achieve measurable value from Spendesk
  • Own a portfolio of approximately 120 to 150 UK mid-market customers
  • Build relationships with Finance Managers, CFOs, Finance Directors and other key decision-makers
  • Understand customer priorities, challenges and definitions of success
  • Advise customers on best practices and optimise their use of Spendesk
  • Lead regular account reviews and develop success plans aligned with customer objectives
  • Guide customers through onboarding and long-term product adoption
  • Monitor account health, product usage and engagement levels
  • Identify risks early and proactively prevent churn
  • Help customers measure and communicate Spendesk’s business value and ROI
  • Support customers through organisational changes, new stakeholders and evolving business needs
  • Drive discovery and adoption of relevant Spendesk features
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and partner with Account Managers on expansion
  • Support renewal discussions by ensuring customers understand received value
  • Share structured customer feedback with Product, Marketing and Sales
  • Identify recurring customer needs, friction points and potential product improvements
  • Support launch and adoption of new features in the UK market
  • Contribute to customer advocacy initiatives including testimonials, referrals and case studies
  • Help internal teams understand the needs of UK Finance teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional working proficiency in English is essential
  • Previous experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Client Management or another customer-facing role
  • Consultative approach: proactively advise customers rather than simply react to requests
  • Strong ownership and autonomy in managing a customer portfolio
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to use customer data to identify risks and opportunities
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
  • Genuine interest in customer experience, SaaS and building long-term customer partnerships
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively across a high-volume portfolio
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, accounting, ERP or financial software is a strong plus
  • Experience working with Finance, Accounting or Operations teams is a strong plus
  • Experience managing a mid-market customer portfolio at scale is a strong plus
  • Experience with onboarding, adoption, retention, renewals or expansion is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Gainsight, Planhat, Intercom or similar platforms is a strong plus
  • Experience working in a Customer Success and Account Management model is a strong plus
