About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and evaluate trucking claims to determine validity, coverage, and potential payouts
- Investigate claims by collecting information from drivers, trucking companies, and insurance adjusters
- Analyze maintenance records, repair invoices, and related documentation to calculate truck and trailer maintenance costs
- Maintain accurate records of claims, communications, and decisions
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and supporting claims decisions
- Serve as the primary client contact during the claims process
- Answer client questions, address concerns, and provide claim-status updates
- Stay informed about industry regulations, company policies, and claims-processing best practices
- Ensure claims comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with team members to improve claims-processing efficiency and accuracy
- Share insights and best practices to enhance team performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of trucking operations
- Familiarity with truck and trailer maintenance practices and costs
- Previous experience in the trucking industry is a significant advantage
- Experience in claims processing, insurance, or a related field is preferred
- Understanding of claims management software is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to interpret complex data and draw accurate conclusions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously with accuracy and timeliness
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for claims management and documentation
