About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop tailored employer engagement strategies and promote inclusive hiring practices
  • Conduct employer outreach and site visits to build partnerships and identify job opportunities
  • Maintain an updated job registry of openings and employer contacts
  • Advocate for job carving and customized roles aligned with clients’ skills and abilities
  • Align recruitment efforts with client goals and sustainable placements
  • Support clients during employment activities such as interviews
  • Match clients to suitable roles with Career Specialists
  • Collaborate with Retention Specialists on post-placement retention strategies
  • Oversee onboarding and provide ongoing support for successful placements
  • Follow up with employers and clients to monitor progress and address challenges
  • Facilitate referrals and maintain employer-client relationships
  • Plan and facilitate job fairs, workshops, networking sessions, and meet-and-greet events
  • Track and report event outcomes
  • Maintain accurate case notes in case management systems
  • Monitor placement funding and manage contracts, claims, expenditures, and Proof of Employment documentation
  • Compile reports on placement success, employer satisfaction, and retention outcomes
  • Define and track employer success metrics
  • Stay informed about labour market trends, inclusive hiring practices, and employment legislation
  • Use data analytics to improve employment outcomes and meet performance-based funding goals
  • Create customized engagement plans for small and medium-sized businesses
  • Participate in professional development and support program delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in marketing, business development, career development, or a related field
  • 2+ years in employer engagement, recruitment, or workforce development
  • Proven track record working with diverse client populations and building employer partnerships
  • Strong communication, mathematical skills, judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and digital tools
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work a hybrid model with at least two in-office days per week and additional onsite presence as required
  • Availability for flexible evening and weekend work when needed
  • Ability to travel within the GTA for employer site visits, trainings, networking events, and community outreach activities
  • Satisfactory VSS, references, and proof of education required for employment
  • Preferred: Certification in Career Development and/or Human Resources
  • Preferred: Knowledge of local labour markets and workforce needs
  • Preferred: Multilingual capabilities, such as French, Spanish, Mandarin, or Arabic
  • Preferred: Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for travel within the GTA
  • Preferred: First Aid/CPR certification
