About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build internal tools, shared services, and automation that improve developer productivity
Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure
Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, developer environments, and foundational services
Improve observability, monitoring, and operational tooling
Develop reusable frameworks, infrastructure components, and self-service tooling
Partner with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and drive adoption of platform capabilities
Own foundational engineering projects end to end and make pragmatic architectural decisions
Participate in recruiter screening, technical assessment, hiring manager introduction, onsite systems design and behavioral interviews, lunch with the team, and references

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years building and scaling backend software, infrastructure, or platform systems in production
Experience building internal developer tools, automation, shared services, or infrastructure supporting multiple engineering teams
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, and production environments
Experience designing and implementing reliable, maintainable software that improves how engineers build, test, deploy, or operate applications
Experience leading technical projects end to end, from architecture and implementation through rollout, adoption, and maintenance
Experience collaborating across engineering teams to translate developer pain points into scalable technical solutions
Experience balancing developer productivity, operational reliability, and long-term maintainability in technical decisions
Platform engineering, developer experience, infrastructure, or developer productivity background is an advantage
Experience with AWS, serverless architectures, infrastructure as code, or cloud-native systems is an advantage
Experience implementing observability, monitoring, or incident management tooling is an advantage
Experience in mid- or growth-stage startups (Series A–C) is an advantage
Experience measuring developer adoption, deployment frequency, system reliability, or engineering efficiency is an advantage
Technical stack knowledge: Serverless AWS (AppSync, DynamoDB, Lambda, Amplify, CloudFormation, Node), React Native, React Native for Web, GraphQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
