About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee a team developing and implementing user community and customer advocacy programs
- Create scalable advocacy, community, and customer review programs that surface and promote customer successes
- Research, experiment with, and implement AI tools and approaches
- Partner with Customer Success, Social, Brand and Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Customer Education, Revenue, Product Operations, and Performance Marketing
- Guide cross-functional efforts involving customer stories, clean data, system integrations, automation, scalable program design, and project management
- Complete onboarding and build relationships with cross-functional partners
- Take ownership of team and cross-functional rituals
- Manage prioritization of work for the Customer Advocacy & Community team
- Launch customer-facing programs
- Drive 2027 priorities, roadmap, and yearly team performance reviews
- Track engagement and business impact metrics
- Serve as the company point person for Customer Advocacy & Community programs and processes
- Influence customer advocacy and community strategy, data, systems, execution, and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in Customer Marketing, Advocacy, or Community management
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced SaaS or B2B tech environment
- 2+ years of experience in direct people management with remote teams
- Ability to translate business needs into customer marketing strategies and effective advocacy or community engagement programs
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to prioritize high-impact work and drive alignment across teams
- High attention to detail and cross-functional project management experience
- Ability to develop and maintain a strong team culture
- User-level experience with third-party review sites such as G2 or TrustRadius
- User-level experience with community platforms such as Gainsight or Zendesk community products
- User-level experience with advocacy collection/management tools such as UserEvidence and Base.ai
