About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support software release verification, including smoke/regression testing, release readiness, and documentation
  • Create, review, and maintain test cases aligned with user stories and risk areas
  • Develop and expand automated tests using Java, JUnit, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD)
  • Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements, identify test scenarios, and promote quality
  • Improve and maintain test assets, including page objects, step definitions, and utilities
  • Analyze test failures and contribute to defect triage and documentation
  • Assist with continuous improvement of test strategy and coverage

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Working knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
  • Understanding of software testing concepts, including unit testing with JUnit and defect lifecycle
  • Foundational database testing skills and familiarity with SQL
  • Exposure to build tools such as Maven
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Bash/Shell, PowerShell, or Python
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate in an Agile environment
  • Must be local to Phoenix, AZ and able to attend onsite as needed
  • Must have a personal laptop
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
  • In-person interview and start within 2 weeks of offer required
  • Preferred: familiarity with Spring Boot; Oracle or MongoDB; CI/CD tools; Docker or Kubernetes; Selenium and Cucumber; JMeter; OWASP Top 10/security tools; AI/Machine Learning for testing or CI/CD; MyBatis, Tomcat, or IBM FileNet workflows
