About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead high-priority and strategic Commonwealth technology projects from planning through implementation
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, milestones, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain detailed Project Management Plans and Project Schedules
  • Manage projects across planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Develop estimates and adjust project plans based on resources, timelines, and project requirements
  • Track project progress, milestones, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Maintain RAID Logs and develop risk mitigation strategies through closure
  • Manage Change Management Plans, scope changes, and project documentation
  • Develop Communication Plans and Deliverables Matrices
  • Prepare and distribute weekly status reports and project metrics
  • Present project status, recommendations, and proposals to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Application, Data Warehouse, Informatics, Solution Management, Networking, Security, and Service Management teams
  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and suppliers
  • Coordinate system testing, training, orientation sessions, peer reviews, and quality assurance activities
  • Ensure compliance with HHS DC IT PMO methodologies, standards, and procedures
  • Mentor less experienced project management staff as needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related issues and resolutions
  • Deliver presentations and support continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Lead implementation and enhancement of iSMART/Training Management System replacement and support the WITS product

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7–9 years of relevant Project Management experience
  • Active PMI PMP certification held for a minimum of 5 years
  • Candidate must provide/upload a copy of the active PMP certification
  • Current Pennsylvania resident at the time of submission
  • Must be able to work onsite in Harrisburg at least 1 day per month, with additional onsite work as required
  • Experience implementing SaaS solutions highly desired
  • Strong, demonstrable background in Public Health, particularly Drug and Alcohol Programs, highly desired
  • Must be willing to work in the United States and provide current work authorization status
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience and active PMI PMP certification held for at least 5 years
