About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Pick inventory orders using Workday handheld accurately and within the appropriate time
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by rotating back stock, removing boxes, trimming box flaps, and keeping areas organized and free from trip hazards
- Participate in daily huddles and improvement work
- Put freight away in correct shelf locations and rotate it using good body mechanics
- Complete assigned cycle counts accurately and on time
- Keep cage and dock areas clean and organized
- Sort mail accurately and timely
- Complete daily shipping for outgoing packages and totes by cutoff time
- Deliver supplies daily to off-site locations and North campuses using set routes and schedules, company van, and safe driving practices
- Verify open order/back order information and follow up with departments and buyers
- Scan supply rooms using a handheld scanner, including special-order items
- Use Workday for picking, quick issues, inventory adjustments, and item returns
- Provide customer service in person and by phone, identify needs, and find solutions supporting patient care
- Support the organization’s vision, mission, values, and Value Improvement Practice (VIP-Lean) continuous improvement principles
- Maintain harmonious team interaction and participate in huddles
- Provide and maintain a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests
- Conduct activities professionally and confidentially while complying with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Deliver timely, efficient, accurate customer service and/or patient care
- Perform additional duties of similar complexity as required or assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Data entry, basic computer skills, effective communication and strong basic math skills
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely
- Ability to stand and walk continually
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop/kneel/crouch, climb stairs, climb ladders/step-stools, and reach overhead as specified
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to use a clear and audible speaking voice and hear normal speech
- Ability to perform occasional keyboard operation
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 0700-1630, 40 hours weekly
- Ability to work first shift in the United States of America
- Ability to safely use a cardboard compactor, pallet jack, company van, and other equipment
