About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide general medical services in practice and hospital settings
  • Provide comprehensive, high-quality, cost-effective medical care on a continuing basis
  • Perform histories and physical examinations
  • Follow evidence-based medicine, standardized orders, and approved practice guidelines
  • Assess, treat, and manage patient health care needs
  • Initiate treatment through prescriptions, diagnostic tests, examinations, and procedures
  • Review laboratory results and plan actions accordingly
  • Perform routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients
  • Coordinate patient care and make referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, and other professionals
  • Communicate with referring physicians, patients, families, outside agencies, and other professionals
  • Participate in patient and family education, wellness counseling, prevention education, and family counseling
  • Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and skills
  • Participate in quality, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Network, departmental, employee, patient, and environmental safety policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty
  • Current or recent experience in area of specialty
  • MD or DO licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice
  • Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board
  • Must be able to perform the physical and sensory requirements, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling as specified
  • Submit full legal name and current home address
  • Include employment history for the past seven years, including present employer
