About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a passionate patient advocate and create a unique, exceptional patient experience
  • Drive a patient-centric culture while facilitating practice-based administrative and patient support services
  • Engage patients politely, promptly, and compassionately during practice-based interactions
  • Perform check-in, patient consent, check-out, pre-registration, eligibility verification, registration, MyChart education, scheduling, payment collection, and patient inquiry support
  • Deliver waiting room concierge service and hands-on kiosk check-in support
  • Facilitate practice opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain practice cleanliness
  • Process incoming mail and deliveries
  • Manage and reconcile cash
  • Scan and index incoming faxes promptly
  • Address in-basket clerical pool messages
  • Partner with Access Center Patient Engagement Partners on time-sensitive scheduling requests
  • Connect Access Center Clinical Triage Specialists with practice-based care team members for time-sensitive clinical inquiries
  • Anticipate and tend to patient needs by partnering with organizational teams and departments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year practice-based experience or in a similar healthcare setting preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Focused on compliance
  • Demonstrates continuous growth

  • Service-oriented
  • Excels at time management
  • Ability to communicate to patients concisely and clearly
  • Ability to listen, express compassion and empathy, and communicate with a patient centric mindset
  • Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours at a time)
  • Requires continual use of fingers for patient care, writing and computer entry
  • Occasional requirement to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally push carts with supplies up to 30 pounds
  • Occasionally push wheelchairs with patients weighing up to 325 pounds
  • Ability to stoop, bend and reach above shoulder level
  • Ability to hear normal conversation and good general, near and peripheral vision
