About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide comprehensive medical services in practice and hospital settings
  • Perform histories and physical examinations
  • Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on evidence-based medicine and approved practice guidelines
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patient health care needs
  • Initiate treatment through prescriptions, diagnostic tests, examinations, and procedures
  • Review laboratory results and plan appropriate actions
  • Perform routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients
  • Coordinate patient care and make referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, and other professionals
  • Communicate with referring physicians, patients, families, health care professionals, and outside agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty
  • Current or recent experience in area of specialty
  • MD or DO licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice
  • Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board
  • Ability to perform required physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
  • Must maintain patient confidentiality
  • Must comply with Network and departmental policies regarding employee, patient, and environmental safety
  • Full legal name and current home address required for application
  • Employment history for the past seven years, including present employer
