About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive medical services in practice and hospital settings
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on evidence-based medicine
- Follow approved standardized orders and practice guidelines
- Communicate regularly with referring physicians, patients, and families
- Educate patients and families
- Evaluate patient healthcare needs and manage treatment programs
- Initiate treatment through prescriptions, diagnostic tests, examinations, and procedures
- Review laboratory results and plan actions
- Perform routine health maintenance activities
- Coordinate patient care and make referrals to other healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with professionals, nurses, physicians, and outside agencies regarding patient care
- Coordinate patient care and family counseling with public and mental health agencies
- Teach wellness and prevention practices
- Maintain current medical knowledge and skills
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety, reporting, and departmental policies
- Participate in quality, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty
- Current or recent experience in area of specialty
- MD or DO licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice
- Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board
- Ability to perform the listed physical and sensory requirements, including lifting, carrying, pushing, walking, standing, and patient handling
- Submit application using full legal name and current home address
- Include employment history for the past seven years, including present employer
