About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete the 12-month Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program commencing February 2027
  • Work in an acute hospital environment across perioperative or acute ward specialties
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in rotations or placement across Theatre, Recovery, Endoscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Urology, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Oncology/Haematology, Palliative Care, General Medical & Surgical, Gastrointestinal, Colorectal & Bariatric Surgical, Medical Cardiology, or Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgical specialties
  • Receive guidance and mentorship from Clinical Nurses (Education), experienced preceptors, and the Graduate Program Coordinator
  • Attend rostered shifts across a 7-day week, including early, late, and night shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse prior to program commencement
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed skills in delivering compassionate, patient-centred care
  • Recent clinical placement experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts across a 7-day week, including early, late and night shifts (nights on wards only)
  • Must have working rights in Australia
  • Must meet healthcare work health and safety requirements regarding vaccine-preventable diseases
  • Submit a current resume or CV, cover letter of no more than 2 pages, and ANSAT interim and final reports from two most recent placements
