About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete the 12-month (52-week) Graduate Registered Nurse Program commencing February 2027 and concluding February 2028
- Work in an acute hospital environment across Perioperative Services, acute ward-based specialties or Emergency Nursing
- Rotate or work within specialties including Theatre, Recovery, Endoscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Urology, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Oncology/Haematology, Palliative Care, General Medical and Surgical, Gastrointestinal, Colorectal and Bariatric Surgical, Medical Cardiology, and Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgical areas
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals
- Participate in rostered shifts across a 7-day week
- Attend optional online information session and engage with graduate program support, mentorship and education
- Specify preferred program stream and specialty interests in the application
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse prior to program commencement
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed skills in delivering compassionate, patient-centred care
- Recent clinical placement experience in an acute hospital setting
- For applicants to the Emergency Nursing stream, recent clinical experience in an Emergency Department is preferred
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts across a 7-day week, including early, late and night shifts (nights on wards only)
- Working rights in Australia
- Compliance with work health and safety requirements relating to vaccine preventable diseases in healthcare settings
- Current Resume or CV
- Cover letter of no more than 2 pages addressing ability to meet role requirements
- ANSAT interim and final reports from the most recent two placements
