About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage personal injury cases and coordinate case-related activities from intake through ongoing treatment
- Retrieve and organize medical records and documentation
- Open and manage insurance claims
- Coordinate medical treatment and appointments for personal injury clients
- Open and manage medical liens with healthcare providers
- Follow up with medical providers regarding treatment, records, bills, and documentation
- Handle and coordinate property damage claims
- Communicate with clients regarding treatment, appointments, claims, and case-related updates
- Communicate with insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation and records
- Track case progress, outstanding items, and required follow-ups
- Ensure timely follow-up on medical treatment, records, liens, and property damage matters
- Work independently and take ownership of assigned cases and tasks
- Coordinate medical treatment and follow up with providers and clients
- Open and manage medical liens and related documentation
- Handle property damage and insurance claim matters while tracking case progress
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years of experience working specifically as a Personal Injury Case Manager
- Minimum 2 years supporting a California-based personal injury law firm in a similar Case Manager capacity
- Strong understanding of personal injury case management processes
- Hands-on experience with medical records retrieval, opening insurance claims, medical treatment coordination, medical liens, and property damage claims
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong English-only candidates will also be considered
- Experience using Filevine preferred
- Previous experience managing California personal injury cases preferred
- Experience coordinating treatment and medical providers for PI clients preferred
- Familiarity with medical lien processes and property damage claims preferred
- Experience working remotely with a U.S.-based law firm preferred
