About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify AI opportunities to enhance product experiences and operational efficiency
- Collect, analyze, and model diverse financial datasets to develop actionable AI products
- Own the full AI solution lifecycle from problem definition and research through modeling and implementation
- Break down complex problems into structured work plans
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into products
- Stay current with AI, ML, and LLM trends and translate them into practical applications
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists
- Balance immediate delivery with long-term innovation
- Develop and implement AI-based solutions across Stampli's SaaS platform
- Attend the Tel Aviv office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
- 6+ years in a data science role, ideally within a SaaS or tech-driven company
- Proven experience leading and delivering AI-based solutions to key business problems
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in Hebrew and English
- Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-based agentic systems
- Ability to take ML/LLM solutions from research to production
- Strong evaluation skills, including labeled eval sets, metrics, offline benchmarks, and shadow or A/B comparisons
- Experience deploying and owning production models or services, including FastAPI, queue-based async processing, monitoring, and evaluation
- Ability to investigate production behavior using logs, metrics, and data; identify root causes and verify fixes
- Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS, including S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and Bedrock
- Strong Python engineering, including clean testable code, pytest, async, Pydantic, Git, and code review
- Experience with embeddings, vector or hybrid search, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and RAG
- Experience with OCR, layout and table understanding, invoices, or financial documents
- Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex and MLflow
- Experience with big data and data warehouses such as Redshift
