About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full lifecycle of hardware products from concept through development, manufacturing ramp, launch, and field stabilization
- Maintain an integrated program plan spanning hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and go-to-market workstreams
- Hold functions accountable to schedule, scope, and quality milestones
- Serve as the connective tissue across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, sales, and marketing
- Run structured cross-functional reviews and establish operating rhythms
- Prepare and deliver regular executive-level program reviews
- Translate program status into narratives covering schedule health, risk, cost, and leadership decisions
- Identify program risks, maintain a live risk register, and drive mitigation plans
- Lead EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP manufacturing-readiness milestones
- Align design releases, tooling, test fixtures, work instructions, and supplier readiness with ramp targets
- Design and manage beta programs
- Coordinate field feedback with engineering and own post-launch stabilization
- Track field performance metrics, drive corrective actions, and define stability criteria
- Track program budgets, capital expenditures, and resource allocation with Finance
- Flag budget variances and align financial milestones with program phase gates
- Report directly to the VP of Operations and work closely with the executive team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6-10 years in technical program management
- Direct experience owning hardware product lifecycles end-to-end
- Deep familiarity with EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP hardware development cycles
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and go-to-market without direct authority
- Strong executive communication skills
- Experience managing program budgets and tracking resource allocation across functions
- Proactive risk management mindset
- Experience scaling hardware products from low-volume prototype to higher-volume production is nice to have
- Background in robotics, automation hardware, or high-complexity electromechanical systems is nice to have
- Exposure to firmware or software development cycles in a hardware-integrated context is nice to have
- Familiarity with structured beta and field stabilization programs is nice to have
- Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be able to work from the NYC office 3 days per week and the Glen Cove, NY robotics factory 1 day per week
