About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day and strategic legal support to the Global Supply Chain function
- Draft, review, and negotiate procurement and supply chain contracts
- Advise on environmental, health, and safety matters
- Help manage supplier disputes
- Draft, maintain, and manage policies, procedures, guidance, playbooks, contract standards, and training materials related to supply chain compliance and ESG
- Support responsible sourcing, human rights, forced labor, supplier due diligence, sustainability, and other global supply chain requirements
- Review and negotiate Master Purchase Agreements, Contract Manufacturing Agreements, Master Services Agreements, SaaS Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other agreements
- Advise on contract structure, negotiation strategy, risk allocation, supplier obligations, indemnities, liability limits, insurance, termination, business continuity, confidentiality, data security, and compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally on sourcing strategies, supplier onboarding, contract execution, and contract management
- Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, fallback positions, training materials, and contract review processes
- Assess regulatory developments, implement practical controls, support supplier-facing requirements, and align policies and commitments with legal obligations
- Provide training on procurement processes, policies, laws, and regulations
- Support EHS matters affecting manufacturing, distribution, logistics, facilities, and supply chain operations
- Partner with EHS, operations, facilities, and compliance teams on risk assessments, incident response, audits, investigations, remediation, permits, and corrective actions
- Coordinate outside counsel and consultants on specialized EHS matters, regulatory inquiries, enforcement actions, and compliance issues
- Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical operational guidance
- Advise business partners on supply chain, trade, customs, EHS, human rights, and ESG compliance
- Collaborate across functions to assess regulations, implement controls, deliver training, and support supplier-facing requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admitted into practice in at least one state
- Approximately 7–12 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or combination of both
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably including procurement, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, services, technology, facilities, or real estate-related agreements
- Working knowledge of legal issues affecting global supply chain operations, including supplier risk, commercial disputes, EHS, trade compliance, customs, sanctions, export controls, and cross-border transactions
- Experience managing outside counsel and coordinating local-law advice across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to build strong relationships with business partners and communicate complex legal concepts clearly
- Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment
- Excellent judgment, communication, negotiation, drafting, analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, collaborate across functions, and escalate issues appropriately
- High ethical standards, sound discretion, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters
- Must not require visa sponsorship; role is not eligible for H1B, OPT/CPT, TN, or other visa sponsorship
