About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the short- and long-term global P&L of the DEWALT construction hand tools portfolio
  • Increase working capital turns and expand the business with new products
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the New Product Development Process
  • Partner with designers, engineers, marketing, sales, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Develop product and market strategies to drive growth and profitability
  • Develop category product strategies and identify projects needed to execute them
  • Partner with international teams to identify high-impact global growth opportunities
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs; develop and execute product roadmaps
  • Develop and deliver operating plans; track, forecast, and present monthly product financial performance
  • Conduct Voice of Customer visits and validate end-user needs, product CTQs, testing, and claims
  • Lead NPD programs from ideation through commercialization
  • Communicate product differentiation, positioning, and value proposition to external audiences
  • Execute productivity and cost-reduction plans while preserving customer-valued features
  • Ensure product development processes and milestone/phase-gate commitments are followed
  • Develop brand and product positioning strategies and profitability objectives
  • Manage, develop, and mentor a team of Product Managers
  • Own product planning, product definition and data delivery, financial modeling, and product complexity management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • MBA is a plus
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in consumer products
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience working directly with retailers or other large customers
  • Experience working in a matrixed reporting structure and/or a global company
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Domestic and international travel required (15%)
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN, etc.)
