About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee sales operations within the assigned West region
  • Develop and execute localized and comprehensive sales strategies
  • Drive Sell-In to Independent Distribution and Sell-Through for National Accounts
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Core and Specialty product lines and communicate product differentiators, features, and benefits
  • Champion the consultative Total Tool Solutions selling model for DEWALT and PROTO
  • Develop and execute the Industrial strategy for the DEWALT brand
  • Recommend new product development and category expansion
  • Implement, track, and coach to role-specific key performance indicators
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities
  • Use forecasting tools to predict sales volumes and adjust strategies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Field Sales team
  • Build relationships with distribution and end-user customers and industry groups
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts with major clients
  • Analyze sales data and prepare consensus reports for senior management
  • Participate in S&OP and IBP processes
  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing and supply chain teams on sales objectives, forecasts, and product demand
  • Shape the product promotion playbook with Channel Marketing leadership
  • Manage the sales budget in alignment with demand forecasts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales within the Industrial channel or related manufacturing sectors
  • At least 5 years in a People Leader capacity
  • Ability to travel within the United States at least 50% of the year
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools
