About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop data and information management and analytics patterns and blueprints
- Establish data architecture principles, reference architectures, guardrails, standards, and design patterns
- Enable data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Optimize data architecture, data models, and databases
- Design, develop, and deploy conceptual, logical, and physical data artifacts
- Define data standards and develop data and metadata policies and procedures
- Provide technical leadership for legacy platform modernization
- Mitigate data risks through advanced security and compliance controls
- Drive consistency, quality, security, and timely delivery of data
- Plan and manage complex data architecture design efforts from proof of concept through implementation
- Oversee creation and maintenance of subject-area data warehouses and records of reference
- Champion advanced analytics and AI/ML adoption
- Review existing data architectures for effectiveness and compliance
- Drive innovation and apply industry-recognized practices to minimize data redundancies
- Mentor Data Architecture team members on database performance, availability, and scalability
- Evangelize master data management and collaborate with MDM and business teams
- Collaborate with solution and domain architects on data synchronization methods
- Work with outside partners to ensure requirements are met
- Evangelize enterprise data governance strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree and 13+ years relevant experience, or graduate degree and 10–12 years relevant experience
- 7–10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a heterogeneous environment, or five years of experience in solution architecture, business analysis, or business strategic planning
- Additional training or certification in organizational change management highly desirable
- Previous experience as a successful enterprise architect highly desirable
- Experience with Big Data Analytics and tools/frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
- Data architecture and modeling expertise
- Data warehouse technologies
- Master Data Management expertise
- Data modeling tools expertise
- Data visualization expertise
- Data governance and metadata management expertise
- Integration technologies and ETL/ELT tools
- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Ability to tie together solutions across systems

- ITFS Project Methodology knowledge
- Demonstrated track record leading high-performance teams toward challenging goals
- Internal or external management of organizational units
