About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet patients and customers and identify their needs
- Provide promotional products and services throughout the sales process
- Help customers choose eyewear according to budget and eye-care needs
- Troubleshoot prescription-related problems and resolve complaints
- Attain established sales goals while complying with company and local policies
- Follow quality-control standards, including OSHA and other safety requirements
- Perform basic housekeeping to maintain brand standards
- Measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames onsite and virtually
- Confirm lens power ranges and frame-specific measurements and sign off on jobs
- Examine prescriptions and verify lenses meet specifications
- Perform simple repairs, assemble lenses into frames, and edge stock lenses
- Ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time
- Maintain lab-area brand standards and report equipment malfunctions or incorrect orders
- Track delivery-time commitments to ensure compliance with Now Service and Ready When Promised standards
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ year of proven experience delivering outstanding customer service while exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
- Effective communication skills with a diverse group of people
- Valid ABO/NCLE and/or State license in the applicable State
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Passion for outstanding customer/patient care
- Interest in learning, embracing, and fostering innovation
- Ability to promote high work standards and empower others with an entrepreneurial mentality
- Schedule flexibility; work hours determined by business needs
- Knowledge of MS Word and Google Docs
