About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with implementation and leadership teams to plan and execute practice conversions, new office openings, and operational transitions
- Assess office workflows and align administrative and clinical processes with Star Sleep & Wellness standards and best practices
- Train new hires and existing team members on patient flow, customer service, documentation, systems utilization, treatment-related processes, follow-up procedures, compliance requirements, and approved office protocols
- Establish and reinforce consistent front-office and clinical operations across locations
- Provide hands-on coaching and monitor employee proficiency during onboarding and stabilization
- Model patient-centered service and reinforce quality, safety, compliance, operational, and documentation expectations
- Observe performance, assess competencies, document training progress, and identify retraining and development opportunities
- Identify recurring training needs, workflow challenges, and administrative or clinical bottlenecks; recommend solutions with leadership
- Coordinate operational and clinical readiness with providers, leadership teams, and supporting departments
- Support adoption of company systems, processes, and documentation standards
- Facilitate handoff to Administrative Manager, Clinical Manager, Regional Directors, and other operational leaders
- Travel to implementation projects and remain assigned to locations for extended periods when necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience training, mentoring, onboarding, or developing employees
- Ability to assess employee proficiency and provide constructive feedback and support
- Strong problem-solving and workflow improvement skills
- Ability to learn, navigate, and effectively train others on multiple systems, technologies, and processes
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and build relationships with diverse teams
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and coaching skills
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and remain on assignment for several months when required
- Relevant healthcare operations, dental sleep medicine, sleep-appliance therapy, dentistry, sleep medicine, or related outpatient healthcare experience preferred
- Experience supporting both clinical and administrative workflows preferred
- Experience with practice implementations, acquisitions, office startups, or operational transitions preferred
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training best practices preferred
- Experience onboarding employees, developing training programs, and assessing competency and proficiency preferred
- Experience improving operational efficiency and establishing standardized workflows across multiple locations preferred
- Candidates selected to move forward will be asked to complete a Berke Assessment
