About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Play a key role in the Customer Service Engineering Group
Deliver robust, scalable and high-quality software
Build and maintain backend systems primarily using Java
Apply clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing and continuous deployment practices
Develop and support cloud-native systems using AWS and GCP
Work with distributed service-based architecture and technologies including Kubernetes, TeamCity, Terraform and Grafana
Collaborate across teams and contribute to new features and disruptive fintech technology
Take ownership of technical work, improve processes and share knowledge with colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 7 years of commercial experience with Java
Strong understanding of delivering robust and scalable code
Applying software development best practices
Proven track record of delivering high-quality software
Experience with AWS and Postgres is highly desirable
Knowledge of clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing and continuous deployment
Experience or familiarity with Java, Postgres, AWS, GCP, distributed service-based architecture, Kubernetes (EKS), TeamCity for CI/CD, Terraform and Grafana is beneficial
Ability to work across teams and apply technical knowledge to multiple problems and challenges
