About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead StarRez’s North American in-person and virtual Housing Fair program for College Pads
  • Own annual planning, event calendars, timelines, priorities, and milestones
  • Manage Housing Fair registrations, event details, deadlines, staffing requirements, and participation information
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Community Relations, Product Marketing, and other teams
  • Coordinate employee staffing and pre-event communications, schedules, logistics, and expectations
  • Manage budgets, forecast expenses, and track event costs
  • Build relationships with Housing Fair organizers, campus partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage end-to-end logistics including registrations, signage, giveaways, event materials, shipping, tracking, inventory, and virtual event setup
  • Serve as primary point of contact for organizers and internal stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle
  • Prepare employees with information, materials, objectives, and resources for successful events
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate shipment and return of event materials
  • Ensure consistent, professional, and engaging brand experiences
  • Track participation, attendance, costs, engagement, and key performance metrics; provide post-event reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency, consistency, and scalability
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase student awareness, adoption, and attendance
  • Identify promotional channels, tactics, incentives, partnerships, and engagement strategies
  • Use attendance trends, engagement data, student feedback, and event performance to drive growth
  • Develop repeatable promotional best practices for participating institutions
  • Evaluate new event formats, experiences, and technologies
  • Establish and track measurable growth goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, event marketing, field marketing, tradeshow coordination, or a related role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of events or projects simultaneously
  • Experience coordinating event logistics, including registrations, shipping, inventory, staffing, and event materials
  • Ability to think strategically to grow attendance and engagement at fairs
  • Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Experience managing event budgets, expenses, and vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
  • Preferred: experience managing university, campus, student-facing, housing, or community events
  • Preferred: experience with VFairs Platform or similar virtual event platform
  • Preferred: experience developing processes that make high-volume event programs more efficient and scalable
  • Preferred: strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Preferred: ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
