About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle inbound and outbound calls in a high-tech environment
- Resolve general questions regarding insurance and financial assistance
- Process payments
- Resolve billing and payment issues using established work queues and call pools
- Respond professionally and thoroughly to patient/account-holder information requests
- Gain payment or arrange payment on behalf of the client as appropriate
- Follow client-specific protocols and policies
- Investigate and respond to client enquiries
- Enter and monitor payment arrangements
- Adhere to FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA and other applicable laws
- Work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years’ experience working in a call center or customer service function where contact with the public was a daily duty
- Knowledge/experience of medical terminology, patient billing, healthcare insurance and/or healthcare administration preferred
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong organization skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility in scheduling and assignments, including regular evening and Saturday work as business requires
- Ability to work successfully and cooperatively within a team-based environment
- Bilingual capability for bilingual calls
- Broadband internet connection; no DSL or dial-up
- Hard-wired internet connection required; no Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi hotspots
- Minimum internet speed of 40 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
- Camera required to remain on from training start through the end of each scheduled shift, excluding designated breaks and lunch
- Remote workers must be based in the United States and reside in one of the listed eligible states
