About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle inbound and outbound calls in a high-tech environment
- Resolve insurance, financial assistance, billing and payment questions
- Make and answer calls on behalf of clients using established work queues and call pools
- Respond professionally and thoroughly to patient/account-holder information requests
- Obtain payments or arrange payment on behalf of clients as appropriate
- Follow client-specific protocols and policies
- Investigate and respond to client inquiries
- Enter and monitor payment arrangements
- Adhere to FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA and other applicable laws
- Work scheduled shifts, including evening and Saturday coverage
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years’ experience working in a call center or customer service function with daily public contact
- Knowledge/experience of medical terminology, patient billing, healthcare insurance and/or healthcare administration preferred
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility in scheduling and assignments, including regular evening and Saturday work as required
- Ability to work successfully and cooperatively within a team-based environment
- Bilingual capability for bilingual calls
- Broadband internet connection; no DSL or dial-up
- Hard-wired internet connection required; no Wi-Fi or hotspots
- Minimum internet speeds of 40 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
- Camera must remain on during training and scheduled shifts except designated breaks and lunch; post-training use as directed by supervisor/team
- Remote workers must be based in the United States and reside in one of the listed eligible states
- Successful completion of all post-offer processing
