About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls in a high-tech environment
  • Make and answer calls in the client’s name to resolve billing and payment issues using established work queues and call pools
  • Respond to patient/account-holder requests for information professionally and thoroughly
  • Gain payment or arrange payment on behalf of the client as appropriate
  • Follow client-specific protocols and policies
  • Investigate and respond to client enquiries as needed
  • Enter and monitor payment arrangements
  • Adhere to FDCPA, FCRA, HIPPA, and other applicable laws

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a Call Center or Customer Service function where contact with the public was part of daily duties
  • Knowledge/experience of medical terminology, patient billing, healthcare insurance and/or healthcare administration preferred
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility in scheduling and assignments, including regular evening and Saturday work as business requires
  • Ability to work successfully and cooperatively within a team-based environment
  • Bilingual candidates will provide additional support for bilingual calls
  • Broadband internet connection; no DSL or dial-up
  • Hard-wired internet connection required; no Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi hotspots
  • Minimum internet speed of 40 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
  • Camera required to remain on from the start of training through the end of each scheduled shift, excluding designated breaks and lunch periods
  • After training, camera use required as directed by supervisor or based on team expectations
  • Remote workers must be based in the United States and reside in one of the listed states: Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or New Mexico
