About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison between the company and its clients
  • Handle client information requests, issues, and other client-related tasks
  • Manage client correspondence, requests for information, and issues in a timely, professional, and thorough manner
  • Assist in preparing and conducting client meetings by gathering and formatting activity and performance data, developing agendas, coordinating schedules, and updating meeting trackers and follow-up items
  • Facilitate meetings by scheduling them, conducting pre-meeting audits, organizing preparation meetings, coordinating meeting booklet drafts, and serving as final editor and proofreader
  • Document and publish meeting minutes and open appropriate tickets arising from meetings
  • Participate in internal meetings with the manager, team, and staff from other departments
  • Respond to internal staff inquiries regarding clients and accounts
  • Produce and distribute reports on client and department activity
  • Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams regarding business issues, company changes, and ideas
  • Inform company staff proactively about client issues, concerns, and changes
  • Seek additional business opportunities with existing and prospective clients and inform Sales, Marketing, and other staff
  • Learn clients’ systems of record as needed
  • Support department goals and notify management and teammates of problems affecting goal achievement
  • Work to obtain the best possible account solution for the company and client
  • Complete special projects and duties assigned by the manager
  • Assist with departmental measurement activities
  • Assist Client Service and Business Support departments as needed
  • Assist in training and mentoring employees
  • Improve practices and procedures to save money, improve quality, and save time
  • Keep Work Instructions updated within the department and company database
  • Ensure staff activities meet company quality, compliance, and client-specific standards
  • Represent State Collection Service with professional and ethical work standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years’ experience in a business-to-business, Patient Billing or Client-Facing function
  • Personal Computing skills, including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Outlook, Internet, and keyboarding
  • Ability to create, maintain, analyze and distribute reports
  • Strong rapport-building and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Articulate written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to present in front of diverse audiences, including internal staff, clients, and industry professionals
  • Strong focus upon Customer Service and deliverables and significant attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel to client meetings and conferences
  • Remote workers must be based in the United States and must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or New Mexico
  • Adherence to all FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA and applicable laws, as well as SCS company policies
  • Successful completion of all post-offer processing
