About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide research-based insights and operational support to advance court projects, enhance staff development, and improve organizational effectiveness
  • Plan, implement and manage trainings and professional development opportunities for court personnel
  • Develop, deliver and coordinate new employee onboarding, role-specific, system, process-change and ongoing professional development training
  • Identify training needs, develop learning solutions and keep training current as organizational needs evolve
  • Gather and analyze data to inform operational decisions and evaluate work efficiencies
  • Evaluate performance metrics and outcome measures to ensure data relevance
  • Research and write operations reports and establish training objectives with the management team
  • Collect, maintain and coordinate storage of administrative records according to records retention policies
  • Manage and coordinate outreach events, milestone recognitions and special projects
  • Maintain and organize employee training records and training resources
  • Support the Resource Development Department Director with event coordination and recognition
  • Contribute to the Administrative Office of the Court newsletter and other publications
  • Serve as a liaison and resource with other departments and stakeholders
  • Help implement policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminology, social sciences, education, public administration or organizational development
  • Five years of related experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity or managerial capacity
  • Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis
  • A Master’s degree in an area cited above may substitute for two years of the recommended non-management experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of project management techniques
  • Knowledge of the structure and operations of the Florida Court System
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis and draft memoranda and reports
  • Ability to organize complex data and information
  • Ability to develop contracts
  • Ability to develop in-person and e-learning training objectives and presentations targeted towards adult learners
  • Ability to interpret, explain and apply rules, policies and procedures
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive information
  • Ability to research and apply for Continuing Education Accreditation
  • Applicants will be subject to a criminal background check
  • Proof of education: A copy of diploma/certificate
