About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from initial drafting and negotiation through amendments, renewals, and closeouts
- Ensure contracts comply with state regulations and internal policies
- Manage budgets, track expenditures, and perform regular reconciliations
- Collaborate with two other contract managers to share knowledge and achieve team goals
- Support procurement and contract management from initial conceptualization through purchase-order or two-party-contract termination
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate vendor meetings and meaningful communication
- Ensure efficient execution of agreements supporting the Division of Medical Quality Assurance’s mission
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship; the Department does not provide sponsorship, including STEM OPT and/or Form I-983
- Work history, duties and responsibilities, hours worked, supervisor, formal education, and other application fields must be completed to determine qualifications
- Responses to qualifying questions must be supported by employment history and verifiable documentation
- Experience with fiscal management, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Access, and Excel
- Proficiency with Adobe
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and apply relevant laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work in a professional office environment and remain seated at a computer workstation for extended periods
- Must be willing to physically come into the office to perform job duties
- Current Florida Certified Contract Manager certification is preferred, but not required immediately; candidates may obtain it within the first 12 months of employment
- Ability to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English
- Successful security background check and/or drug screening
- Form I-9 and E-Verify employment eligibility verification
- Male applicants born on or after October 1, 1962, must meet Selective Services registration or exemption requirements
- May be required to perform emergency duty before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days
