About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, develop, implement, coordinate and/or monitor contracted medical assistance and long-term care services for the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Program
- Serve as Comprehensive Contract Manager and lead point of contact for an assigned Medicaid contract
- Oversee Medicaid managed care programs within the Bureau of Medicaid Plan Management Operations
- Ensure managed care plans meet Medicaid contractual requirements
- Monitor timely provision of medically needed services and provider payment for those services
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Florida Medicaid program, federal laws and regulations, state statutes and rules
- Collect, analyze and evaluate data
- Develop reports and make recommendations
- Determine work priorities, assign work and ensure timely completion of assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- One (1) year of Managed Care Contract Management experience
- One (1) year of experience working with a Managed Care organization
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to travel with or without accommodations
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of the team
- Ability to understand and apply applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to determine work priorities, assign and ensure proper completion of work assignments in a timely manner
- Knowledge of methods necessary for efficient compiling, organization and analyzing data
- Ability to collect, analyze and evaluate data quickly, develop reports, and make recommendations
- Knowledge of and experience with word processing, spreadsheet and/or database software
- Knowledge of state procurement laws and contract management policies/procedures
- Ability to apply state procurement laws and contract management policies/procedures
- Knowledge of federal and state managed care requirements
- Successful completion of State and National criminal history check, including fingerprinting, before employment
- Subject to reasonable suspicion drug testing under the Drug-Free Workplace Act
