About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as an assistant Information Security Coordinator
  • Develop, coordinate, and provide classroom or virtual instruction on information security, HIPAA, and cybersecurity
  • Respond to and report security incidents
  • Develop and maintain local security procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Implement and monitor corrective actions
  • Perform user access reviews
  • Consult with supervisors on appropriate staff access levels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3 years of experience in information security risk management
  • 1 year of experience providing training
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of information security policies and cybersecurity threats
  • Skill with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Skill in providing training in individual and group settings
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to travel throughout Pinellas County
  • Ability to learn and communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
  • Security background check and/or drug screening required
  • Form I-9 and E-Verify employment eligibility verification required
  • Emergency duty may be required before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days
