About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with administrative and public relations matters in the Florida House of Representatives office
- Apply House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies, and Joint Policies and Procedures
- Manage calendars and scheduling
- Manage constituents
- Conduct legislative research
- Support legislative processes
- Prepare public relations materials and press releases
- Manage stakeholder relations
- Serve as designated Tallahassee staff during Committee Weeks and Session

Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education
- Thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature
- Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures
- Required to electronically file a Form 1 – Statement of Financial Interests with the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire
- Completion of mandatory trainings as assigned
