About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop monitoring tools for Medicaid services
  • Develop processing and reporting tools for Medicaid services
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, statutes, administrative rules, the Florida Medicaid State Plan, contract requirements, and policies and procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Florida Medicaid program, federal regulations, state statutes, administrative rules and program guidelines
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of Medicaid program monitoring reviews
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Write, edit and develop descriptive reports
  • Design, develop and implement quality research models
  • Design and edit Excel spreadsheets, tables and graphs
  • Coordinate, manage and train peers on implementation of evaluation tools
  • Provide data-driven feedback on the quality of Florida’s Medicaid program to federal and state agencies, Medicaid recipients, Medicaid managed care plans and providers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two years of experience monitoring or auditing health care programs for quality compliance
  • Knowledge of managed care, health care management programs and Medicaid
  • Ability to utilize communication skills and problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to health services
  • Ability to coordinate planning and implementation of Medicaid program monitoring reviews
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, write, edit and develop descriptive reports
  • Fluency using Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite software tools
  • Ability to design, develop and implement quality research models
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing, including descriptions of policies and procedures
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and coordinate competing work activities
  • Ability to design and edit Excel spreadsheets, tables and graphs
  • Ability to coordinate, manage and train peers on evaluation tools
  • Ability to travel with or without accommodations
  • Successful completion of a State and National criminal history check before beginning employment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, statistics, mathematics, economics, public administration, health or social services administration is preferred and can substitute for four years of required experience
