About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver and facilitate provider training through classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching
  • Train providers and stakeholders on applicable laws, rules, policies, and service delivery requirements
  • Use approved curricula and promote active participation and learner engagement
  • Manage classroom dynamics and maintain a professional, respectful, and inclusive training environment
  • Participate in required meetings and train-the-trainer sessions
  • Review training materials, agendas, objectives, and policies before sessions
  • Prepare virtual and in-person training environments and test audiovisual tools
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions with the Provider Training Manager
  • Coordinate venues, equipment, calendars, session logistics, and travel
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of relevant laws, rules, policies, and program requirements
  • Report outdated or incorrect content and share learner feedback to improve training materials
  • Collaborate with the Training Development team on training design, development, and delivery
  • Assist with training aids such as manuals, handbooks, and visual aids
  • Evaluate and recommend training materials and methodologies
  • Administer assessments, activities, and knowledge checks
  • Clarify content and provide additional explanations when needed
  • Document learner performance and course completion or certification requirements
  • Create and maintain instructor-led course sessions in the LMS
  • Schedule sessions, post details, manage rosters, record attendance and completions, and submit documentation
  • Maintain backup records and refer complex LMS issues to the appropriate support team
  • Work on special projects and perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Valid driver's license or other efficient means of transportation
  • Willingness to travel to different locations throughout the region and occasionally statewide
  • 4 years of experience in a related field or a bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Knowledge of training methodologies
  • Knowledge of learning management systems
  • Knowledge of competency assessments
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional best practices
  • Knowledge of applicable Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, APD policies, the iBudget Handbook, and relevant program requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications and other required computer software applications
  • Knowledge of training delivery tools and virtual training platforms, including GoToWebinar and GoToMeeting
  • Ability to manage time, work independently, and meet schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to deliver approved curricula accurately and consistently
  • Ability to create inclusive learning environments and manage classroom dynamics
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to assess learner understanding and adapt explanations
  • Ability to identify and communicate issues using professional judgment
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region and statewide as required
  • Ability to document and maintain records accurately
  • Skills in leadership and classroom management; planning, organizing, scheduling, and coordinating training; data gathering and analysis; problem analysis and solving; instruction or training; public speaking; and interpersonal relations
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must complete Level 2 employment screening, including fingerprinting
  • Must complete all fields in the Candidate Profile, including work history with month and year
