About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical consultation related to nursing and medical service provision within the Significant Additional Needs process
  • Use current rules, laws, and procedures to provide clear and accurate clinical recommendations or responses to consumers, agency staff, and other stakeholders by assigned deadlines
  • Conduct cost plan and Significant Additional Needs reviews for compliance with state and federal rules and procedures
  • Exercise independent judgment to make decisions or prepare complete and concise recommendations for supervisory approval
  • Participate in hearings related to Significant Additional Needs recommendations
  • Provide technical assistance to Waiver Support Coordinators, State Office, and Regional staff on cost plan and Significant Additional Needs reviews and decisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Serve staff and management across the Agency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and clinical techniques
  • Ability to organize work and cooperate with others as necessary, and work independently
  • Ability to apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Ability to enter data in a professional work setting
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Completion of all fields in the Candidate Profile, including work history with month and year
  • Level 2 employment screening, including fingerprinting, is required
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Background investigation and employment eligibility verification are required
  • Responses to qualifying questions must be verifiable
  • Must participate in the Direct Deposit Program
  • Subject to reasonable suspicion drug testing
