About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide nursing consultation, policy direction, implementation, and technical assistance to Medical Foster Care staff and community partners regarding clinical and programmatic matters
  • Support quality improvement methods, concepts, and requirements
  • Develop, revise, and maintain Medical Foster Care program policies, the Internal Training Manual, and reports
  • Compile and analyze monthly client and staffing reports for quality improvement processes
  • Conduct performance improvement activities and annual reviews of Medical Foster Care programs for compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Analyze quarterly reports from Children's Medical Services staff or providers and develop an annual report
  • Provide statewide consultation and technical assistance regarding program policies and data management
  • Review data, documentation, dyads, and plans of care for accuracy and quality
  • Participate in work groups, teams, and committees addressing program-related issues
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to collect and evaluate data
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to organize data into logical formats for reports, documents, and written materials
  • Ability to use problem-solving techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English
  • Successful completion of required security background check and/or drug screening
  • Must complete Form I-9 and employment eligibility verification through E-Verify
  • Emergency duty may be required before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days
