About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer incoming calls from applicants and licensees professionally
- Keep call-queue wait times within established timeframes and minimize dropped or transferred calls
- Advise customers on appropriate actions and procedures
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Route calls to appropriate resources when necessary
- Log call interactions into the licensing database
- Use contact history and email systems to maintain records and notify the proper processing unit
- Respond to Live Chat inquiries or route them to the appropriate queue
- Download electronically received facsimiles and distribute them as needed
- Open, process, date-stamp, initial, log, and direct incoming mail and facsimiles to the proper processing unit the same business day
- Stamp envelopes and fold and mail office letters as needed
- Stay current with system information, changes, and updates
- Research information using LEIDS, Axiom Pro, and other required systems
- Complete work assignments and timesheets by established deadlines
- Remain logged into the call queue for scheduled hours
- Meet or exceed team production standards
- Perform other duties assigned by managerial staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be physically present in the office to effectively perform job duties and responsibilities
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software for various automated applications
- Ability to understand and apply applicable laws, rules, and Division policies relating to licensure
- Ability to work independently
- Proper phone etiquette
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to research information quickly
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to speak on the phone for extended periods of time
- Ability to multi-task
- Sedentary work and repetitive motion
- Ability to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English
- Must successfully complete a security background check and/or drug screening
- Must complete Form I-9 and employment eligibility verification through E-Verify
- Male applicants born on or after October 1, 1962, must meet Selective Service registration or exemption requirements
- May be required to perform emergency duty before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days
