About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide specialized customer support, clerical and data entry work involving one or more docket areas within a court’s jurisdiction
  • Perform case-flow functions across the full case cycle, including docket entry, entering new electronic and paper filings, sending notices, reviewing case documents, preparing orders and motions, and scheduling court events
  • Operate tools supporting in-person and remote virtual court hearings
  • Perform operator functions during court hearings through high-speed docket entry and real-time processing
  • Apply attention to detail and methodical approaches to standardized business practices
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding forms, court kiosks, court appearances, and case information
  • Provide prompt information and assistance to customers
  • Collect fines and fees; close, balance, and reconcile tills
  • Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to court rules and statutes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School graduation or equivalent
  • Two years of clerical, secretarial or data entry experience
  • College training may be substituted for the work experience on a year for year basis
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Exceptional administrative/clerical skills
  • Ability to keep accurate records and provide accurate information
  • Teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication skills
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Positive, empathetic, and professional attitude
  • Preference for prior experience in a legal setting or mastery of office technology
