About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide specialized customer support, clerical, and data entry work involving docket areas within a court’s jurisdiction
- Perform case-flow functions across the full case cycle, including docket entry and entering electronic and paper filings
- Send notices and review case documents for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare orders and motions and schedule events on the court calendar
- Operate tools supporting in-person and remote virtual court hearings
- Perform operator functions during court hearings, including high-speed docket entry and real-time processing
- Follow standardized business practices using attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding forms, court kiosks, court appearances, and case information
- Provide prompt information and assistance to customers
- Collect fines and fees; close, balance, and reconcile tills
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to court rules and statutes
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School graduation or equivalent
- Two years of clerical, secretarial or data entry experience
- College training may be substituted for the work experience on a year for year basis
- Prior experience in a legal setting preferred
- Mastery of office technology preferred
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Exceptional administrative/clerical skills
- Ability to keep accurate records and provide accurate information
- Teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication skills
- Experience in customer-facing roles
- Positive, empathetic, and professional attitude
