About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Optimize how the Steer CRM ingests and processes data to improve automation tools
Lead the design of reusable full-stack components and services
Ensure platform performance and scalability
Adapt development priorities between new integrations and core infrastructure
Partner with Product to understand user pain points and deliver value to auto repair shops
Champion security, test automation, and maintainability best practices
Conduct deep-dive code reviews
Influence CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code practices
Design and maintain AI-integrated, agentic-ready infrastructure for autonomous workflows
Lead products from vision through launch within lean, high-velocity teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional experience building complex, web-based SaaS products
Hands-on experience working with LLMs and prompt engineering
Proven experience deploying AI-powered features and autonomous (agentic) workflows in production-grade infrastructure
Hands-on experience integrating AI tooling into CI/CD pipelines, such as automated code review agents, AI-assisted testing, or agentic workflow orchestration
Proficiency with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL
Proficiency with NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Redis
Experience with schema design and query optimization
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into product outcomes and collaborate effectively with leadership
Familiarity with .NET, Node.js (TypeScript), and React
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and CloudFormation
Previous experience as a founding engineer or in an early-stage startup environment
Experience building or integrating with Claude marketplace plugins, including prompt chaining, tool use, or MCP integrations
