About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain Java applications and microservices using Spring Boot
  • Work with legacy systems (Struts, Servlets, JSP, PrimeFaces)
  • Implement Docker containers and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Develop data-streaming solutions using Kafka and Kafka Streams
  • Ensure code quality by following best practices and conducting tests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product Owners
  • Document processes and architectural decisions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience in software engineering, with relevant experience in Java and/or JVM-based languages
  • Experience developing and operating systems using Java, microservices, and APIs (Spring Boot, Node.js)
  • Knowledge of service containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift)
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam)
  • Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • Knowledge of private and public cloud environments: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Focus on quality and best practices, with a commitment to writing readable, well-tested, and maintainable code
  • Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes
