About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and evolve Data Engineering architectures
  • Provide technical leadership for complex data ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery solutions
  • Define standards, frameworks, reusable components, and best practices
  • Design solution architectures using Azure and Databricks
  • Design Data Lake/Lakehouse solutions for processing large volumes of data
  • Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and modernization strategies
  • Define performance, scalability, resilience, and high-availability strategies
  • Address highly complex technical issues and critical incidents
  • Define mechanisms for observability, data quality, lineage, and governance
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data protection requirements
  • Support Architects and leadership in making technical decisions
  • Conduct solution assessments and architectural reviews
  • Serve as a technical reference and mentor for Mid-Level and Senior Data Engineers
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and the bank’s stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into scalable and sustainable technical solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced experience in Data Engineering and Data Architecture
  • Strong command of Python
  • Advanced SQL and query optimization
  • Spark/PySpark in large-scale environments
  • Advanced Databricks expertise
  • Azure Data Lake Storage
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Delta Lake
  • Lakehouse Architecture
  • Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
