About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and develop professionals within the discipline
Provide technical mentoring, career development, continuous training, and talent retention
Define and maintain software engineering standards, frameworks, best practices, and guidelines
Lead and structure the Development Center of Excellence, ensuring up-to-date skills and delivery capabilities
Build and monitor the discipline’s technical roadmap
Evaluate and promote the adoption of new technologies, tools, and certifications
Support the adoption and evolution of SAI App 3.0
Support team allocation, capacity planning, and team composition strategies
Work in partnership with Client Faces and various stakeholders
Serve as a technical and people reference within the Center of Excellence (COE)
Support team composition and the development of solutions aligned with client needs
Act as the primary technical and people reference for the Development discipline

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in Back-end and/or Front-end development
Proficiency in at least one of the main technology stacks: Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript, with the ability to work in multi-stack environments
Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and integrations
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with cloud environments: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
Knowledge of CI/CD and modern software engineering practices
Proficiency in Clean Code, automated testing, and Code Review
Experience leading and mentoring technical teams
Ability to define standards and lead technical governance processes
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with leaders and Client Faces
Experience with pricing and developing technical proposals
Experience estimating projects, considering effort, seniority, competencies, and team composition
Knowledge of and experience with AI applied to software development
Experience with code copilots
Experience with AI-assisted code generation
Experience with assisted refactoring
Experience with prompt engineering
Advanced English or Spanish proficiency
Preferred: experience with Mobile development
Preferred: experience working on legacy system modernization projects
Preferred: experience in large-scale environments and technology transformation
