About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer Azure resources, including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Azure Virtual Network, subnets, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure SQL, Azure Backup, Site Recovery, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID
Manage users, groups, permissions, and RBAC
Support the implementation of security, access control, and compliance policies
Monitor the availability, performance, and capacity of environments
Analyze and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems
Create and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability routines
Automate tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Infrastructure as Code tools
Support server and service migration projects to the cloud
Prepare technical documentation, operating procedures, and reports
Work with vendors and network, security, development, and support teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in IT infrastructure
Hands-on experience administering Azure environments
Ability to perform moderately complex activities without constant supervision
Experience with troubleshooting, production environment support, and incident management
Participation in cloud environment migration, modernization, or expansion projects
Administration of Windows Server systems and, preferably, Linux
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and load balancing
Knowledge of Azure Networking, virtual machines, and storage
Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and access policies
Knowledge of PowerShell and Azure CLI
Knowledge of monitoring and log analysis
Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
Knowledge of cloud security, MFA, Zero Trust, and least privilege
Knowledge of ITIL and incident and change management tools
Basic knowledge of automation with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep
Knowledge of Azure cost management and governance
Availability to work shifts or on-call duty when necessary
A mindset focused on security, stability, and cost reduction
