About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct recurring risk assessments of application support and development operations
- Assess change management, deployment, segregation of duties, and access management controls across development, testing, and production environments
- Identify risks related to legacy applications, concentration of knowledge, lack of documentation, and technical debt with operational impact
- Assess compliance with application security and data protection requirements, including Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD)
- Record and maintain up-to-date risk registers and action plans for the Applications function
- Monitor remediation plans with managers and technical leaders through completion
- Support the onboarding of new operations by identifying application-related risks
- Prepare metrics and information for the department’s monthly reports
- Contribute to the restructuring of the IT Risk function
- Collaborate on the creation of innovative solutions for clients by combining technology, artificial intelligence, and human creativity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in Risk, Governance, Quality, Compliance, or Information Security within system development and support environments
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), change management, and access management
- Experience gathering evidence and monitoring action plans
- Knowledge of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and application security best practices
- Fluent English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, and critical thinking ability
- ITIL 4 or ITIL (Version 5) certification is a plus
- Knowledge of COBIT, ISO 27001, or OWASP is a plus
- Experience with controls for ERP environments, such as SAP or similar platforms, and segregation of duties is a plus
- Experience with DevOps/ALM tools, such as Azure DevOps and Jira, and ITSM tools is a plus
- Experience in IT outsourcing and multi-client operations is a plus
- Spanish proficiency is a plus
