About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Map the lifecycle of personal data, identifying which data is collected, used, stored, shared, and disposed of
- Identify where personal data is stored, who has access to it, and how it is processed across different processes and departments
- Support the assessment and management of privacy and data protection risks
- Conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs/RIPDs)
- Support the development, review, and updating of privacy policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Advise departments such as IT, HR, Marketing, and other business areas on data protection best practices
- Support the development and review of terms, privacy notices, and documents related to the processing of personal data
- Handle and track data subject requests
- Support collaboration with internal departments and, where applicable, regulatory authorities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes related to privacy and data protection
- Support awareness initiatives and training on privacy and data protection
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in Data Protection, Privacy, or Compliance
- Knowledge of Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and its key concepts and requirements
- Knowledge of best practices and concepts related to the GDPR is a plus
- Experience mapping processes and personal data
- Knowledge of privacy-related risk management
- Familiarity with Information Security and Cybersecurity principles
- Knowledge of developing and reviewing privacy policies, procedures, and documents
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with different departments across the organization
- Experience with DPIAs/RIPDs
- Certifications or coursework in Privacy and Data Protection
- Experience with GRC, Privacy Management, or Data Mapping tools
- Knowledge of Information Security, ISO 27001, and/or ISO 27701
- Experience working in large organizations or regulated environments
