About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the mapping of data processing activities and data flows
- Maintain inventories and records of processing activities
- Prepare and update DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments)
- Conduct privacy assessments
- Review data protection-related clauses and documents
- Support vendor due diligence
- Track action plans resulting from assessments and audits
- Support Privacy by Design processes
- Support the handling of data subject rights requests
- Draft policies, procedures, guidelines, and training materials
- Support audits and compliance processes
- Support investigations and incident response
- Monitor performance indicators and prepare departmental reports
- Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree and active membership in the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Experience in privacy and Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD)
- Knowledge of contracts
- Familiarity with DPIAs and data mapping
- Interest in and ability to collaborate with Information Security and Technology teams
- Intermediate to advanced English
- Intermediate to advanced Spanish
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Level of autonomy appropriate to the position’s seniority
- Strong prioritization and execution skills
- Ability to work effectively with non-legal teams
