About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Actively participate in the development lifecycle by applying Shift-Left Testing
- Collaborate on requirements refinement and solution design from the early stages
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test architectures for functional, regression, integration, and API testing
- Develop and execute automated tests using Rest Assured, Cucumber, or similar tools
- Validate REST and SOAP APIs according to architectural and security standards
- Perform backend validation, including complex SQL queries, data consistency checks, and testing of messaging/event-processing systems
- Integrate and maintain automated test suite execution in CI/CD pipelines
- Serve as a technical reference for the team
- Analyze quality metrics and indicators to identify bottlenecks and propose continuous improvements
- Work collaboratively with Development and Product teams to proactively prevent failures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience as a mid-level QA/Test Analyst, with a focus on backend and API automation
- Proficiency in at least one programming language used in automation: Java, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with automated testing of REST and SOAP APIs
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with frameworks such as Rest Assured, Cucumber, or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration
- Good knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases for query execution and data consistency verification
- Strong analytical skills for identifying root causes and resolving technical issues
- Strong command of software quality best practices and defect prevention strategies
